As it creeped in at first we didn’t care to make a fuss,
but like a cunning thief it drastically picked the essentials,
traveling, freedom and fresh air ,
suddenly got stolen.

As it gathered power its slaves began to whisper,
many of them said things that did defer,
“It must be God’s wrath, a plague to kill our evil deeds.”
People became bitter.

Death is the best alarm,
and as people died like mere flies,
attention was turned to science and its allies.
Masks, sanitizers and self quarantine somehow saved us.

In all attempts we tried to bring it to an end,
elders cursed,
scientists rushed,
we waited in patience for COVID-19 to spare our lives.
