Manchester City proved to be the best even away from home as they played Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League round of 16 tie, they won 2-1 .


Goals from Jesus and De bruyne were critical to give the EPL defending champions crucial away goals. In the first half,Isco scored after getting a clear through pass in the 18 yard box from Vinicious jr and buried it in the back of the net to give the home team an early lead.

City came back to draw level after Jesus scored a superb goal in the 60th minute. Sterling who came on as a substitute in the second half made a run inside the box and was caught by Carvajal and a Penalty was awarded.


De Bruyne converted the penalty to put city on the lead in the dying minutes of the game. Ramos was sent off after clipping Jesus leg while chasing the ball outside the 18yard.


Ramos will surely miss the second leg after being shown a red card while Mendy will also be out for City after receiving two yellow cards. Real Madrid have a hard task to make it past Guardiola’s men as they prepare to travel to Etihad for the second leg tie.
