The anonymous ;know your circle

So I sit at home observing the normal catching up with the universe and how it’s coming about with so much rage, anger and venom at us with no mercy.

Everybody’s concentration is here. Forcing yourself to actually be indoors for your own good and a midst all the happening in the world, something actually distracts me for a moment. Something for days finally has my attention apart from what’s on our mind.

I sit here bored and notice what’s going around the social network. Some genius comes up with an app that you simply confess your feelings to someone but anonymously. It sounds fun to me. Its specifically a secret love message to whoever is ready to indulge in this. Well, I’m not really on this chapter but its really intriguing and captivating.

Besides it being a secret love message, something takes a turn as I watch what people feel safe to post to the world. Some of these messages honestly awe my heart with so much love just to know that there are people out there who actually secretly love you. That they admire you in your endeavors and they find courage in what you do.

Admiration is a great feeling more so when it comes from someone you have no idea or clue about. More like you are an inspiration to people and you actually make a difference to this world without you knowing. How amazing can that be?

Now back to the purpose of the app where lots of people actually confess their feelings. Truly if this doesn’t warm your heart then there is something terribly wrong with you. From secret lovers to secret admirers, to actual real secrets and real feelings being confessed and exposed.

Crushes that have survived years, feelings that have been kept at bay for the better part of peace and survival of friendships, to wishes that will never come true and promises that will forever be kept in your heart without you actually knowing the face behind these words. Epic love toil right?

From people who actually truly love you without having the courage to confess this out, to exes that wish of a second, third, fourth chance just to feel your presence one more time. I think of all these and the fact that it all sounds great and loving there is a bit of heaviness in it.

A tiny portion of it screams ‘ Know this, know me’. But how? Its anonymous and so the secret love portions out there continue sprawling until the individuals behind these messages get the courage, risk something or lose someone in order for you to be exposed to the truth. If ever they will, let’s call it The Perfect Truth.

Getting back to humans being, where there is love, there must be hate cooking. That’s even after it should specifically be a love secret message, its also a platform and a chance to finally feed you the Bitter Truth. That there are secret messages telling you I’m sorry but you don’t deserve all that love and you need to face this other side of reality.

A lot of hatred being advertised and showcased. Is it really worth it guys? That you have to tell out such bad messages to people for what? Do you honestly gain from it? From hatred to boiling anger being exposed, grudges that have been kept still for years, secrets ready to kill your happy mood and send you to depression. Threats you now have to face and be keen with.

What’s with all the venom anyway? There is a part that actually describes these people. Do you have to wait for some anonymous app to be made for you to raise your 16-year anger concern? That there is no bit of courage in you to tell this person this secret hate message in person and face him or her.

This undeniably states how cowardly people are to face the real world. Here’s the good news, it’s still anonymous and oh well that thought can as well be dismissed.

Here’s the thing, people you call friends, are not your friends. People you trust so much will one day cost you. People you hang around with, don’t really give a care about you. People you think are down for you, aren’t. People you think are happy for you, it’s just for the show but they aren’t.

If you can get such comments from your own contact list, people you claim you know, people you call friends then you definitely have to recheck your friend list. This app has exposed the messages as intended but also within it has exposed your circle of friends. Know Your Circle!

  1. What was meant to keep people happy and busy suddenly turned sour, though many won’t speak about how they received shocking confessions we only posted what we wanted everyone to see…. Well done Vivian we have Snakes in the name of friends…

I like the way you have coined the above words. Very true but most of us are afraid of the reality. If only we paused for a minute and thought about ourselves, if you really love yourself then you’ll be careful enough to invite people who are genuine enough into your circle. It doesn’t really matter if you’ve countable friends but what’s more important is the sincerity of that friendship.
Also I think people should stop faking , why smile at me while at the back of your mind you’re like, I don’t really care about you.
