Picture someone surprising you with a new phone, or a new house, or a new car. Something new that you have always imagined owning someday if you ever get the chance. Imagine the feeling and joy that will overshadow and overwhelm your soul.

This is the case until sometime later down the line, two years, six months, a period long enough to bring everything back to normal. The car that was once new becomes a normal thing. Being bored with the normal, you soon embark on the run in search of another new.

It is exactly what happens when we choose to dwell on physical beauty as women. The world has undergone tremendous changes and the definition of Beauty has seemingly evolved. Thanks to media influence, all a lady needs to do in this modern times is learn the art of dressing well, do good makeup, ‘package’ herself well and learn how to use her Beauty to influence numbers on social media.

Honestly, it’s a plus, but does anyone ever worry what will be of our girls years to come? What kind of parents will they turn out to be? Will they bring forth a generation that will learn from them? No one is talking about most of them ending up as single parents and choosing to lead an ‘ I don’t care ‘ attitude kind of life since parental guidance is a thing tossed in the forgotten grave in this century.

Physical Beauty is a plus to a woman, but just like life itself, it becomes normal. We meet various people in life but we choose to keep some as close friends because of the values they hold, irrespective of their introvert or extrovert nature.

It is a millennial era and the reign is bringing with it lazy women in their numbers. Dressing up and sitting around is considered a job enough. Settling for wrong decisions and blaming it on life has become a norm. Women empowerment is a cry all over but hardly, can a group of women stand up together without hating on each other evidently or secretly, all in the name of earning the best attention.

It entails a lot to become a true queen in life. Looks don’t define a queen, wealth doesn’t make one a queen, being a fashion icon doesn’t make you a queen. Pulling down another queen doesn’t grant you the title either. Who says being older than another fellow woman or earning a higher education level certificate makes one the reigning queen?

Proper mannerisms are the key necessity of a woman. Knowing you are beautiful but choosing to be respectful of every being around you, especially that good man in your life, makes you glow. Choosing not to cheat on your man is not favorable to him, but dignity to yourself as a woman.

Respecting your elders and being willing to always learn is true womanhood as far as it cuts across all genders. Being educated and settling for the idea of making use of your learned skills to make the best out of life gives you a position in life to count in a given society. It makes you an important person.

Learning to be a responsible lady at your home or any home by helping out where necessary doesn’t make you a house help. It adds to your growth as a queen. It helps you learn how to maintain a home.

Unfortunately, today all efforts are directed towards looking physically beautiful, and even choosing to endanger one’s life just to earn that celebrity body. Some begin hating their skin color and choosing to lighten their skin. It’s sad how our girls are turning into souls with low self-esteem, disguised in an advanced beautiful woman with killer attitudes.

Every other girl wants to shine in life and no genuine effort is put to serve them justice. It is even more unfortunate that the society has normalized this danger, unaware of the disaster we are doing to future generations, by nurturing this sad situation.

It’s high time we revive and normalize basic education among our girls and teach them the values of true womanhood. Crowning another queen in life only adds up to your power as a woman and the respect needed.

It makes you a beautiful person and someone to look up to in life. Choosing to uphold good values in life doesn’t make you weak in life, in the long run, goodness always wins and you will attract in life what is permanent and good.

Almost all women are physically beautiful today. Do an additional package to yourself and choose to be an extra unique flavor. With that, you will for sure reign with grace as a queen. Nobody will teach you how to hate yourself. Your life won’t stop running when things don’t work out as you expected.
